Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 Years of experience in data analytics, warehousing, Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) development, data science , or other big data applications.
- 2 Years of experience in reading/debugging code written in a general purpose coding language (e.g., Java, C, C++, Python, Shell, Go, JavaScript, etc.).
- 2 Years of experience with two or more of the following: web tech, data/big data, systems admin, machine learning, networking, Kubernetes, Oracle, SAP.
Preferred qualifications:
- 2 years of experience with Linux/Unix or other operating systems (kernel to shell, file systems, client-server protocols).
- Experience in customer advocacy.
- Knowledge in web application development/deployment, HTTP/RESTful API troubleshooting, or database design/troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication and technical presentation skills for various audiences.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

As a part of the Google Cloud Support team, you will ensure that the customers get the most out of investment. As a Technical Solutions Engineer, you will be a trusted advisor to a various range of customers, from fast-growing startups to global enterprises. You will work on technical issues, troubleshoot critical issues across Google Cloud platform, and provide expert solutions that help customers innovate with confidence. In this role, you will represent the customer, collaborating with engineering and product teams to drive continuous improvement for products and services.
This will include a need to sometimes work non-standard work hours or shifts.

Responsibilities
- Resolve customer issues through effective diagnosis, resolution, and implementing new investigation tools to increase productivity for customer issues on Google Cloud Platform products.
- Understand Google's product technology and architectures by troubleshooting, reproducing, determining the root cause for customer reported issues, and building tools for faster diagnosis.
- Serve as a consultant and subject matter expert for internal stakeholders across engineering, business, and customer organizations to resolve technical deployment obstacles and improve Google Cloud.
- Advocate for customer needs by understanding their issues and collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product and engineering teams to find ways to improve the product and drive quality production.
- Work as part of a team of engineers/consultants that globally ensure 24-hour customer support.
