About the job

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. While working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to solve big picture challenges.

The name Google came from "googol," a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Business Reviews with leadership showcasing progress on cross-functional OKRs, identify new opportunities, and promote service offerings (e.g., centralized invoice validation).
  • Become a recognized expert in S2P processes and operations, including enrollment, purchase requisition/purchase order creation, invoicing, payments, approvals, and validation.
  • Develop a deep understanding of how Product Area (PA) processes interact with Source-to-pay (S2P) and Global Business Services (GBS) processes, systems landscape, and stakeholders (business, finance, and accounting teams).
  • Leverage data to identify, prioritize, implement, and measure process improvements that enhance and optimize the control environment, drive standardization and continuous improvement, and scale with growth.
  • Partner with source to pay operational leads to develop standardized frameworks for integrations, new product set ups, divestitures, and process governance (with a focus on change management and documentation).
