About the job
A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.
Google's projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus while being able to dive into the unique engineering challenges we face daily. As a member of fleet management at Google, you will develop relationships, both internally and externally, and connect with internal customers and partner teams to develop an understanding of their business requirements and goals.
As a Technical Program Manager of Global Server Operations (GSO) operational excellence, you will bridge the gap between complex infrastructure data and strategic decision-making. You will be responsible for building the scalable systems and problem-solving frameworks that allow Google’s infrastructure to grow intelligently. This role combines technical expertise in data modeling and visualization with strategic advisory, requiring you to turn raw data into actionable insights that optimize global operations.
The Data Center team designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical and HVAC systems in the world. We are an upbeat, creative, team-oriented group of engineers committed to building and operating powerful data centers.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement the processes, systems, and analytics frameworks required to support GSO’s global growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex data needs into intuitive, high-impact visualizations and dashboards.
- Develop what-if models, data pipelines, and advanced problem-solving toolkits that improve the responsiveness of Google’s infrastructure.
- Act as a trusted expert in data center solutions, providing technical and operational guidance to executives and external partners.
- Manage the lifecycle of data-driven solutions, ensuring they meet the technical requirements of our leads and the strategic goals of our partners.
