About the job

Google's known for our innovative technologies, products and services -- and for the people behind them. Whether you are making our staffing systems more efficient, planning for our growth, building relationships on college campuses or cultivating the next generation of computer scientists, you have an eye on the staffing needs of Google and the broader hiring landscape. You are focused on cultivating outstanding candidates for Google's long-term hiring needs, and work across a cross-functional and international group of staffing teams. You are both scrappy and resourceful, creative and driven -- and excited to share the magic of working at Google.

People Operations strives to revolutionize human resources the same way that Google has revolutionized search. We are helping to find, grow and keep the remarkable assemblage of talent who are our Googlers. We are the team at Google that delivers extraordinary, hire-to-retire experiences for Googlers in the moments that matter most. We deliver global HR processes (with regional nuances where needed) that are personalized and delightful for millions of candidates and Googlers. Made up of equal parts HR professionals, former consultants, and analysts, we're the advocates of Google's culture and values, partnering with our business leaders to help them build their organisations and make sure all people's decisions are based on data. As Google grows, so do the operational complexities, compliance risks, and cultural nuances that are unique to the markets, sites, countries, and regions where Googlers work. To address these complexities, our HR teams offer a structured, location-based approach for delivering HR support

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the Head of HR and Site Leaders by remaining informed about site-related issues and advising on site strategies, plans, operations, and governance.
  • Execute mission-first programs to address tests and opportunities at the site, managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Define and streamline processes to manage programs of an ambiguous nature, involving cross-functional stakeholders and organizing tasks into clear goals and objectives, develop program plans and adjust as necessary to stay on track and achieve program goals.
  • Serve as a trusted partner to cross-functional teams on site programs and initiatives, ensuring alignment between business, culture, and people. Influence teams to work toward common goals for the program and Google, partnering with decision-makers to ensure program timelines and objectives are feasible.
  • Comply with all company health and safety policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
Google is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer. We are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity or Veteran status. We also consider qualified applicants regardless of criminal histories, consistent with legal requirements. See also Google's EEO Policy and EEO is the Law. If you have a disability or special need that requires accommodation, please let us know by completing our Accommodations for Applicants form.
