Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience project managing and delivering technical solutions.
- Experience with architecting, developing, and maintaining technical solutions by leveraging virtual machines, containers (e.g., Kubernetes/GKE), serverless computing, or software defined networking (SDN).
- Experience working in a cloud computing environment (i.e., infrastructure, storage, platforms or data).
- Experience working in Data Centers.
- Successful candidates will be required to obtain or currently possess EU Security Clearance which requires EU nationality.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with customer-facing migrations, including service discovery, assessment, planning, execution, and operations.
- Experience reading software code in one or more languages (e.g., Java, JavaScript, or Python).
- Experience with Kubernetes, GKE, or EKS.
- Experience in architecting, developing, and maintaining solutions leveraging virtual machines, containers, and an understanding of integrating with on-premise data center infrastructure.
- Experience in systems design with an ability to architect or explain complex systems interactions including data flows, common interfaces, APIs, and methods available.
- Familiarity with data center operations, migration strategies, and hybrid cloud architectures (e.g., VMware, OpenShift).

As a Cloud Engineer, you will work directly with Google’s customers on critical application development and modernization projects to help them transform their businesses. In this role, you will work with customers on application re-design and implementation, including application scaling, reliability, and ongoing operations such as application and feature roll outs, monitoring, and more. Additionally, you will work closely with Product Management and Product Engineering to build and facilitate excellence in our products.
