The Information Security Response team helps Google protect user information and intellectual property. In this role, you and your team will be on the front lines of information security incidents. You will be working closely with intrusion detection analysts, privacy, product and legal experts and many other teams across the company to coordinate and drive resolution on a range of incidents.The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across Google’s products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. As the Core team, we have a mandate and a unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company.Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough investigations of security and privacy incidents, analyzing various data sources to assess risk and impact and communications with key stakeholders.
  • Play a key role in responding to large-scale incidents, including writing comprehensive reports and contributing to post-incident analysis.
  • Drive improvements in our incident management processes, leveraging tools and infrastructure to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across Google, including Legal, Engineering, and Communications teams.
