Google's software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. Our products need to handle information at massive scale, and extend well beyond web search. We're looking for engineers who bring fresh ideas from all areas, including information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking and data storage, security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, UI design and mobile; the list goes on and is growing every day. As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to Google’s needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward.
The Health and Home (H&H) team, part of Google's Platforms and Devices, Product Area (PA), aims to improve lives at scale across two key domains:
Health: Empowering longer, healthier lives via Fitbit, the Personal Health Coach, and AI-powered, actionable insights.
Home: Creating a home that cares for its inhabitants and the world. We build the Google Home app and Nest ecosystem, using Gemini to enhance automation, security, and energy management.
H&H integrates cutting-edge AI and hardware/software to deliver seamless experiences for user well-being.
The Health and Home Infrastructure team empowers these experiences with scalable serving and offline infrastructure, coherent developer platforms, and trusted data services. We maintain, high-queries per second (QPS), distributed systems that guarantee reliability and low-latency performance for all Home and Health services.
The Health Platforms and Devices team builds innovative products and services that help our users live longer, healthier lives. We bring together the best of Google technologies and AI, health behavior science, and user-centered design to help users organize the health and wellness data, get insight from it, and take action toward their health goals. We do this with a suite of apps, services, and health wearables. We aim to make consumer health more personal, proactive, and actionable.
