- Experience applying research to improve large language or computer vision models.
- Experience with large-scale data processing and analysis.

Our team develops AI models and AI model driven products and features that can understand complex STEM concepts, power new interactive educational features, and enhance learning experiences across surfaces like Google Search, Google App and Lens.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will advance AI models’ capabilities by conducting thorough model gap analyses, creating high-quality, specialized multi-modal datasets, and driving innovations in AI model training for educational contexts.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product teams to understand user needs and with AI researchers to leverage and contribute to AI advancements.
- Analyze AI model performance, diagnose loss patterns, and implement innovative AI solutions to enhance educational user journeys.
- Take ownership of AI model quality in STEM and multimodal learning. Lead the creation of high-quality, specialized datasets to train and evaluate the models.
- Drive the design, development, and optimization of data pipelines and infrastructure to support efficient model training, fine-tuning, and evaluation.
- Mentor other engineers on the team, foster technical growth and share expertise in AI/ML best practices and model development.
