Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, Quantitative Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 9 years of experience in statistical problem-solving and analyzing data sets using SQL or comparable coding language (e.g., Python, R, Java, C++).
- 9 years of experience working in data analytics, consulting, data science, engineering, or a technical operations role.
- 2 years of experience managing a team.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, etc.).
- Experience in trust and safety and collecting, managing and synthesizing large data sets and information from disparate sources, statistical modeling, data mining and data analysis.
- Experience with consultative problem solving and project management, and in metrics analysis, experiment design and automation.
- Experience scaling and developing an analytics or business intelligence team in a high-growth environment.
- Experience influencing executive leadership on investigative decision making.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, and presentation skills with effective attention to detail.

In this role, with your expertise, you will help deliver on YouTube’s mission to give everyone a voice, show them the world and build a community. Your role will be critical in upholding the transparency mandate for the YouTube Trust and Safety and crafting the best narrative for executives and the outside world.
As a Business Analyst Manager, you will utilize data and investigative techniques to define success metrics for YouTube trust and safety operations, measure business performance and communicate convincing narrative to top executives and outside world. You will work with key business partners to understand data needs, write extract, transform and load (ETL) scripts and collaborate closely with other internal teams.
In this role, you will operate to tell our safety story to the world, and the tactical view of how to drive daily improvements in our operations. You will be presenting a new data narrative to executives one day, and identify opportunities to automate our content moderation systems.
