About the job
The Workforce Management and Spend team drives labor and cost optimization activities in gUP Operations for greater efficiency.
In this role, you will maintain the integrity and accuracy of our financial forecasts. You will act as the primary custodian of forecast data, managing complex metadata configurations and incorporating workdriver data while ensuring rigorous validation with Engineering teams. A key portion of this role involves cross-functional collaboration; you will validate stakeholder inputs regarding new launches and PSM adjustments, and coordinate directly with Service Delivery Managers (SDMs) to lead comprehensive forecast refresh exercises.
Beyond data management, you will drive process improvement by partnering with the Spend team to enhance forecasting accuracy and leading selected training streams. You will also maintain financial rigor through quarterly Purchase Order (PO) forecast audits, with the potential to increase frequency to a monthly cadence.
In gTech Users and Products (gUP), our mission is to advocate for Google’s users by creating helpful and trusted experiences across the product ecosystem. We achieve this by meeting partners and consumers where they are with support and help, representing their needs with our product partners and proposing fixes and features that elevate their engagement with Google's diverse product ecosystem. Additionally we provide a range of product services that ensure our products are optimized for every user, no matter where they are in the world (e.g., localization, digitization, partner integration and more).
Responsibilities
- Manage metadata configurations and validate stakeholder inputs such as new launches and PSM adjustments.
- Incorporate workdriver data and manage engineering validation.
- Lead selected spend-related training streams and partner with Spend team POC on improving spend forecasting accuracy.
- Perform quarterly purchase order forecast audits, which could expand to monthly if there is bandwidth.
- Lead a forecast refresh exercise; create the file outlining items requiring updates, coordinate with SDMs to update, and conduct recap analysis of how much the forecast has changed.
