Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience working with a data center or other equipment/environments.
- 6 years of experience managing process improvement or construction programs in an environment.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related fields.
- Experience in a program role supporting back office operations and working across various stakeholders and teams.
- Knowledge of large-scale facility’s electrical and mechanical infrastructure systems.
- Ability to heighten capability of follow-through, update to conditions previously reported to business leadership and attention to detail.
- Excellent requirements gathering, resource organization, task prioritization, scheduling, and goal attainment skills.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.
Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs.
Global Extended Reservation (EXR) Technical Program Managers (TPMs) to ensure cross-regional communication relative to learnings and programs active within the DCDE delivery environment. Data Center Services (DCS) on global delivery programs (e.g., roofshots, project plaid, etc.), assure respect of regional interests, and regional requirements/policies. Data Center Operations (DCOPs) on global delivery programs (e.g., CFPv2.0, FR at risk, etc.). DCDE’s DCS engineering and Data Center Technology and Systems (DCTS) on global delivery engineering mitigations and cross-regional sharing of learnings
DCDE on field feedback, partnering in driving both to resolutions and the capturing of results within partner program documentation.
Responsibilities
- Develop and identify program analytics, project mitigation learnings and application.
- Participate with Data Center Delivery and Engineering (DCDE) central operations management on global efforts and maintaining communications across regions for leadership reporting and presentation materials.
- Manage, monitor and communicate progress, risks, and mitigations of the project initiative during the development and execution phase.
- Work with internal stakeholders to strategize, plan, and prioritize objectives and success criteria, estimate task durations, and ensure schedules and dependencies are aligned and support those objectives.
