Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
Preferred qualifications:
- 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Experience designing, building, and scaling backend services, APIs, and data infrastructure.
- Experience with Kotlin, Java, Scala or Go.
- Experience in Data Analytics and ETL tools.
- Experience debugging complex issues, improving platform stability and security, and writing testable, maintainable code.
- Understanding of back-end architecture, distributed systems concepts, database/storage solutions, and system performance tuning.

Responsibilities
- Design and implement backend APIs, services, and core capabilities for Dataform to deliver new features and enhance platform functionality.
- Scope, design, and drive technical solutions to address infrastructure bottlenecks and continuously enhance the security and stability of the platform.
- Partner with front-end teams and other Google Cloud service owners on Application Programming Interface (API) and system designs.
- Build scalable code management and pipeline orchestration solutions that power both the customer-facing Dataform product and broader Google Cloud platform capabilities.
- Participate in monitoring, debugging, and production support (including on-call rotations) to maintain system health and enable frequent, reliable releases.
