Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience in compliance, risk management, investigation, auditing, legal, or consulting.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in compliance, risk management, and assurance frameworks and practices.
- Experience in audit functions.
- Experience navigating the regulatory landscape across risk domains, and implementing and managing multi-jurisdictional controls within a technology or global enterprise environment.
- Experience managing projects effectively supported by excellent verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to drive successful collaboration and influence across cross-functional partner teams.
- Excellent investigative skills to synthesize complex, disparate information, extract critical insights, and formulate well-reasoned, actionable recommendations.
About the job
In this role, you will be responsible for creating effective assurance functions, delivering compliance commitments and managing assurance activities for high-risk domains within Google. You will define strategy for controls testing and monitoring, conduct risk assessments, and have the opportunity to work with executive stakeholders across regulatory affairs, internal audit, legal, and product. This role ensures that the organization demonstrates compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute assurance programs for high-risk domains, encompassing planning, execution, reporting, and the continuous optimization of program processes and practices.
- Oversee and support controls testing and monitoring to assess compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments to proactively identify, evaluate, and report potential risks. Identify, document, and manage the remediation of control deficiencies, issues, and broader risk exposures.
- Partner strategically with teams across Global Affairs, Product Areas, and other functions to ensure a comprehensive and structured approach to compliance.
- Prepare and deliver impactful presentations on assurance-related activities to internal and external stakeholders and key executives.
