About the job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

In this role, you will design, build, and operate a fact-based quality management system that provides predictable quality and a closed loop learning culture from design through operations for our global data centers.

Deliver and operate the safest, most secure, and resilient technical infrastructure through a comprehensive compliance, safety, and risk management program.

We provide a set of standards, specifications, processes, and procedures to enable, empower, and encourage stakeholders across the organizations to ensure the quality and reliability of Google’s products and Data Centers.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with suppliers managing end to end quality of complex mechanical infrastructure systems to solve complex product quality and process issues across the full product lifecycle (Pre-FR through End of Life).
  • Conduct audits and inspections of supplier production facilities.  Statistically connect production line metrics and audits to field performance.
  • Articulate quality improvement activities to reduce variability; improve predictability, responsiveness, output quality; monitor Factory Witness and Acceptance Testing. Perform 8D Failure Analysis to execute systemic corrective actions with demonstrated preventative solutions.
  • Manage validation of supplier’s build/test processes and ensure they are meeting Google requirements. Validate supplier product life cycle Quality deliverables defined by Google and leverage industry quality standards such as PPAP.
  • Collaborate with design engineers, commodity managers, manufacturing engineers, operation program managers, and product managers to drive high quality products.
