About the job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

Google is seeking a dynamic, results-oriented Supply Chain Manager to lead all aspects of supply chain readiness and execution for critical data center equipment. This role focuses on large-scale product types, including construction/building modules and high-value equipment that form the backbone of the Google Data Center fleet.

As a the leader, you will be the primary liaison between Google and its suppliers, driving end-to-end (E2E) material, inventory, and production readiness from product inception through mass deployment. You will implement processes and systems that ensure the efficient, timely, and high-quality delivery of innovative products to our global data centers. You will create, educate, and promote supply chain principles and best practices with both internal partner organizations and external suppliers, ultimately enabling Google to meet its ambitious data center build-out goals.

The Data Center team designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical and HVAC systems in the world. We are an upbeat, creative, team-oriented group of engineers committed to building and operating powerful data centers.

Responsibilities

  • Drive end-to-end material and supply chain readiness to ensure a "clear-to-build" status for data center equipment, including the execution of plans for global production ramp and availability.
  • Create and institutionalize new processes and frameworks for material, inventory, and production management to reduce lead times and increase global supply chain capacity.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with suppliers to manage production schedules, purchase orders, and material commitments, including inventory buffers and risk buys.
  • Identify and communicate supply chain risks, developing mitigation plans and documenting global supply chain maps to ensure continuity across procurement, logistics, and fulfillment.
  • Lead collaboration with engineering, planning, and category managers to represent supply chain status in program meetings and drive optimizations to team scale and capability.
