About the job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers. The Data Center team designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical and HVAC systems in the world. We are an upbeat, creative, team-oriented group of engineers committed to building and operating powerful data centers.

Responsibilities

  • Create decision criteria and processes to determine feasibility of cut-in and acceleration requests.
  • Ensure alignment between cross-functional technical-infrastructure teams and the supply chain team to build scalable and reliable responses to the growth of new demand types and new products.
  • Analyze numerous sources of risk/controls data across functions that require leadership attention and eliminate friction by designing solutions, remove blockers, and finding creative ways to accelerate project delivery.
  • Collaborate between edge supply chain (ESC) and Google data center design and execution organizations for new product Introduction ensuring ESC Leadership and teams are aware of pipeline, timing, and impact of NPIs.
  • Facilitate coordination of hurdle rate for NPI project cut-in including potential excess and obsolescence (E&O) impact on inventory of legacy owner furnished equipment (OFE).
