About the job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers. The Data Center team designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical and HVAC systems in the world. We are an upbeat, creative, team-oriented group of engineers committed to building and operating powerful data centers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead networking programs, set priorities for various cross-functional partners, leading teams to execute on projects critical to Google data center network scalability.
  • Work closely with various Partners, Global Network Delivery (GND), Site Reliability Engineers (SREs), Product Area Research Managers (PARMs), Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and Operational Teams. Distill their networking needs and execute them cross-functionally in an efficient and scalable fashion.
  • Manage communication of progress/status with customer groups in various locations and timezones; manage relationships between cross-functional teams.
  • Manage multiple, simultaneous technical projects from inception through completion; ensure requirements are complete and scope is well defined for your projects.
