Are you a Lead Engineer who thrives on tackling complex mobile experiences for large audiences?For a long-term project with one of our marquee clients (a category-leading CRM company), DNA.inc is looking for a Lead Android Engineer to guide a team of talented, international developers. You’ll work closely with client teams — engineers, designers, and product specialists — to strengthen their internal capabilities and deliver robust, quality-driven platforms.This is a hands-on technical leadership role: you’ll spend most of your time designing, building, reviewing, and improving Android applications, while also providing day-to-day technical guidance to the team.About the jobIn this role, you will collaborate closely with other engineers to build high-quality, reliable Android applications for one of DNA.inc’s largest clients.While the project we are currently recruiting for sits in the CRM domain, DNA.inc works with clients across multiple industries, including streaming, fintech, and automotive. We maintain long-term client relationships, and the goal is always to create sustained, next-level work for everyone involved.As a Lead Android Engineer, we will look to you to:Take technical ownership of Android features and subsystemsAct as the day-to-day technical lead for the Android teamWork closely with client engineers and product stakeholdersBalance delivery, quality, and maintainability in a large, evolving codebaseHelp raise the overall Android engineering bar through example, feedback, and mentorshipAbout youTo be considered for this role, you are expected to operate comfortably at Lead level, combining strong individual contribution with practical team leadership.You have 5+ years of proven experience with:Leading Android engineers through small to medium-sized client projectsActing as either the senior developer or stepping into a team leadership roleMaking sound technical and architectural decisions within an existing Android ecosystemBalancing delivery, quality, and maintainability in large, evolving codebasesReviewing code and providing actionable feedback that elevates team practicesDelivering high-quality Android experiences for large audiencesAnd deep knowledge of:Kotlin and JavaAndroid SDK and Jetpack componentsModern Android architectures (MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture)Modular, reusable, and testable Android componentsPerformance optimization, memory management, and battery efficiencyIt would be awesome if you can also bring expertise in subjects such as:Android UI frameworks (Compose, Views)Data persistence (Room, DataStore, Core Data equivalents)Media playback and streaming (audio and/or video)In-app purchases and monetization flowsLocalization and internationalizationLarge modularized Android codebasesDesign systems and reusable UI patternsWho we areAt DNA.inc, we love building platforms and products that people want to use.
