Position Title: Hospitalist Job Description Purpose& Scope: The physician is a member of the healthcare team whoworks in collaboration with other staff to provide comprehensivehealthcare services to patients. The scope of practice of eachphysician is defined through the health systems credentialing andprivileging committee. The Physician supports objectives, budget,and performance metrics at the individual level. Supports allmedical activities at the individual level including implementationof quality control standards, risk management, and complianceprograms. The role of a physician is to provide quality clinicalcare to those individuals who have chosen VHC Health in a timelymanner to meet the needs of our patients. Education: Doctorate fromAccredited Medical School is required. Experience: One year ofMedical/Surgical experience required. Certifications/Licensure:Licensed to Practice Medicine by the Virginia Department of HealthProfessions is required.
