Job Description
As a Hardware Design Engineer specializing in DRAM, you will play a crucial role in designing and optimizing DRAM systems while also being responsible for foundry interfacing.
Key Responsibilities:
- DRAM Architecture: Design and develop DRAM architectures, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- PPA Trade-offs: Analyse and implement Power, Performance, and Area (PPA) trade-offs to achieve the best balance for DRAM systems.
- System Integration: Integrate DRAM into larger systems, ensuring seamless functionality and compatibility.
- DRAM Controller Knowledge: Develop and optimize DRAM controllers to enhance memory management and efficiency.
- Foundry Interfacing: Manage and oversee interactions with semiconductor foundries, ensuring efficient communication, production processes, and design collaboration.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive system design and implementation.
- Documentation: Create detailed technical documentation and specifications for DRAM designs.
Your profile
- Bachelor''s or Master''s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven knowledge on DRAM architecture, DRAM configuration and DRAM (controller) integration.
- Strong understanding of DRAM architecture and PPA trade-offs.
- Proficiency in DRAM controller design and optimization.
- Ability to analyse and solve complex hardware design problems.
- Experience working with semiconductor foundries, including managing fabrication processes and ensuring seamless integration.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with various RAM types (e.g., SRAM, DDR, MRAM, HBM).
- Familiarity with memory bus and memory controller design.
- Knowledge of emerging memory technologies.
