HOURS OF WORK:Hours of work include morning shift: Monday to Friday from 5:45am to 4:30pm, and alternating Saturdays from 5:45am to 12:00.pm or afternoon shift Monday to Friday 4:00pm to 2:00am.JOB DUTIES:- Perform a daily pre-inspection of equipment, record the results- Perform some preventative maintenance on equipment (i.e. greasing)- Ensure piles are safely piled to avoid material from falling or piling down- Able to interpret and use hand signals and voice to communicate with others- Ability to perform various types of physical labour including moderate to heavy lifting, standing, bending, shoveling, etc- Able to exercise good judgment in load handling, placement of equipment and material- Able to interpret and use hand signals and voice to communicate with othersREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:- First Aid and CPR is an asset- Minimum one (1) year of experience operating heavy equipment- Minimum of two (2) years of experience working outdoor year round- Experience in scrap yard is an assetBENEFITS:- Competitive Wage- Weekly direct deposit- Comprehensive Extended Health Care Benefits- Semi-annual safety allowance- Quarterly safety bonus
