To strengthen our Rare Disease Organization (RDO) Department, we are looking for a skilled professional to fill the position of: Product Specialist Rare Disease North West, ItalyAbout the roleThe Product Specialist Rare Disease at UCB plays a crucial role in transforming the lives of those with rare diseases. This position involves creating collaborative partnerships with healthcare professionals and implementing commercial strategies based on scientific research to ensure patient access to UCB products. Responsibilities include mastering brand messaging, targeting, and digital technology to deliver impactful customer experiences while adhering to ethical standards. These specialists are experts in regional patient journeys and strategically allocate time and budget to raise awareness, improve patient diagnosis, treatment access, and promote the appropriate use of UCB products.What you will doOperate with the highest level of ethics and integrity, serving rare disease patients and complying with local requirements.Develop and implement strategic business and account plans tailored to your territory, incorporating insights into the network and regional patient journey and identifying key stakeholders.Deliver balanced information on new therapies in rare disease areas.Master targeted disease states with a deep understanding of patient journeys, standards of care, treatment drivers, and clinical data on UCB products and competitors.Map the assigned territory to identify and prioritize opportunities.Continuously expand expertise on all treating and referring physicians, payers, hospital systems, pharmacies, labs, and other care continuum components.Maintain strong partnerships within the regional payer landscape to ensure providers are informed about coverage and reimbursement, collaborating with the payer access team to maximize patient access and affordability.Seek continuous improvement through feedback, relevant courses, and participation in on-the-job projects and trainings.Engage in cross-functional partnerships and develop aligned territory business and account plans based on in-depth understanding of gaps and opportunities, with quarterly deliverables.Successfully execute marketing and sales strategies.Meet monthly and quarterly sales targets.Key Stakeholders :External: Targeted physicians, all care team members (e.g., referring physicians, hospital stakeholders, pharmacists).Internal: Rare Disease Organization Leadership Team, Ecosystem Lead, Marketing, Market Access, Patient Engagement, MSL, Medical Strategy Lead.Pillars in Rare :Invest in the rare disease patient community by understanding the patient journey, recognizing barriers to care, diagnosis, and treatment, and collaborating to overcome these challenges.Adopt innovative methods, including digital approaches, to identify patients and facilitate earlier access to high-efficacy and safe treatments.Maintain a highly tactical, cross-functional approach to patient access based on continuous account analysis.Develop an in-depth understanding of disease and clinical data of UCB and competitors, translating this into a patient-focused approach for targeted treatments.Interested? For this position, you''ll need the following education, experience, and skills:Proficient in English (B2 level) for effective communication.At least 5 years of field-based experience in sales within the Rare Disease environment, account management, or field reimbursement in biopharmaceuticals within a competitive specialty market segment.Solution-oriented, agile team player focused on external impact.Proven track record of high sales performance and achievement.Experience with successful product launches.Comfortable with up to 80% travel, including overnight stays.Experience serving various accounts along the patient journey, including academic centers, hospitals, and private practices.Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multi-element projects across departments.Diligent in documenting and reporting activities and insights.Curious, results-oriented, and scientifically driven, motivated to improve patient journeys.Flexible in adapting to changing situations and priorities.Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.Willingness to learn and embrace new challenges.Attentive listening skills, valuing others'' perspectives.Are you ready to go beyond to create value and make your mark for patients?
