Overview:
We are seeking an experienced AVS Solution Architect to lead complex enterprise infrastructure deployments and migrations from on-prem VMware environments to Azure VMware Solution (AVS). The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise across Azure, VMware, and hybrid cloud architectures, with strong stakeholder management and solution design skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and lead AVS migrations and hybrid cloud architectures for enterprise clients
- Collaborate with program managers, engineers, and security teams to define strategy and technical requirements
- Deliver technical leadership on VMware vSphere, NSX-T, vSAN, and Azure networking
- Create architecture documentation, knowledge-sharing materials, and training resources
- Act as AVS subject matter expert and stay current with evolving Microsoft and VMware technologies
Required Skills & Experience:
- IT infrastructure experience, including 3+ years in AVS and 5+ years in VMware vSphere
- Strong expertise in:
- Azure VMware Solution (AVS)
- VMware NSX-T, vSAN, HCX (Advanced/Enterprise)
- Azure ExpressRoute, VPN, Virtual WAN, Route Server
- Experience in on-prem to cloud migrations using HCX
- Understanding of security, compliance, and enterprise architecture principles
- Strong communication and client-facing skills#
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with:
- VMware SRM, vRLI, vROps, vRNI, Cloud Director
- Azure NetApp Files, Disk Pools, Azure Arc
- 3rd-party appliances (firewalls/load balancers) in Azure/VMware
- Certifications in Azure, VMware, or related disciplines
- Background in data center network fabric design (Layer 2/3
