Their portfolio contains stand-alone and or complete automated lines, which can be integrated with freezing and packaging solutions. They are seeking a dynamic leader ready to take full responsibility for driving operational excellence and creating value across their Bakel facility. In this role, the Director of Procurement will lead and develop a world-class Procurement organization in line with GEA Global guidelines, leading to excellent delivery performance, lowest integral cost levels, best quality, and optimal working capital.Tasks Director Procurement:Develop and deploy a procurement strategy which includes short-, mid- and long-term goals towards the most resilient and cost-effective supply chainFurther develop GEA Food Solutions Bakel Procurement department (~20 FTE) to a high performing team, driving continuous improvements and learning resulting in a best-in-class organizationFoster collaboration between the 3 teams in Procurement as well as across Operations, Order Management, Engineering, Sales and Service departments within the Bakel Food Solutions facility and Global GEA Procurement & Category Management teamDrive towards cost savings on COGS, modularization, early Procurement & supplier involvement in New Product development and lead-time reductionsImprove Supplier Performance on QLTC (Quality, Lead time, Technology & Costs) as well as Environmental and Safety initiativesDefine and manage the Procurement expectations and deliverables for the New Product Development and Product Owner TeamsDrive creation and improvement of best practice based processes including administrative processes and master data management, leading towards significant efficiencies and lower conversion cost versus spendEncourages innovative/out of the box initiatives using new smart technologies like digi, automation, robotization, 3D printing etc.Reporting to Senior Director of Operations and performance reporting into the Head of Procurement at GEA FHT Division About the company GEA is one of the world''s largest suppliers of systems and components for the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries.
