We are seeking an experienced Payment Officer who can lead the development of payment strategies for high-risk industries (e.g., Forex, cryptocurrency, online gambling, or similar sectors). This role involves designing and optimizing payment schemes, integrating payment systems, and establishing strong, long-term relationships with banks and payment providers. The ideal candidate will have a financial or legal background, a strategic mindset, and the ability to proactively address complex payment challenges in a rapidly evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Payment Strategy Development:
Develop and implement comprehensive payment strategies tailored to the needs of high-risk industries, ensuring efficient payment workflows and risk mitigation.
Payment Infrastructure Optimization:
Design, optimize, and scale payment schemes for various payment methods (e.g., cards, PayPal) and payment routes (routing) to ensure smooth and secure operations.
Partnership and Vendor Management:
Build and maintain strategic relationships with banks and payment providers specializing in high-risk industries. Negotiate terms and resolve escalated payment issues, ensuring seamless collaboration with financial institutions.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure adherence to international payment regulations (e.g., SWIFT, SEPA) while developing payment strategies that meet legal requirements in multiple jurisdictions. Mitigate risks associated with payment operations and regulatory compliance.
Continuous Improvement and Innovation:
Analyze existing payment processes and continuously enhance them. Stay informed on emerging industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory changes to implement innovative payment solutions.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Law.
4+ years of experience in banking, payment systems, or financial operations within high-risk industries, with a proven track record in building and optimizing payment strategies.
Strong knowledge of payment systems and regulations (SWIFT, SEPA, CentralLink), with experience in international financial markets and high-risk industries.
Demonstrated experience in payment system integration and administration.
Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are a plus.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
Background in financial or legal fields.
Experience in international financial institutions or brokers working with high-risk industries, with a focus on developing and executing payment strategies.
