You will be a key technical advisor during the sales cycle in this role. What Youll Do (Key Responsibilities) Your role will centre on providing deep technical design expertise to support the sales process and help secure new business, while upholding the rigorous standards that define our industry.
- Technical Solution Design for Sales: Assess complex client technical requirements and design innovative, compliant security solutions during pre-sales. Ensure proposed designs align with international security standards and regulatory frameworks.
- Proposal and Bid Support: Translate technical designs and client needs into detailed, compelling proposals, quotes, and estimates for prospective projects. Contribute technical content to bids and tender submissions, articulating why Convergint is uniquely qualified. Ensure technical proposals adhere to pricing structures, service tariffs, and profitability margins where applicable.
- Client and Stakeholder Engagement: Engage proactively with potential clients and stakeholders to understand their technical challenges and align proposed solutions with their needs. Deliver compelling, data-driven presentations of technical concepts and proposed solutions to key decision-makers.. Act as a trusted technical advisor to clients during the sales cycle
- Collaboration: Work closely with Business Development Managers, Sales teams, Project Management, and Service teams to ensure a seamless handoff from pre-sales design to project execution. Collaborate with regional account managers, the SES deal desk team, and product partners.
- Technical Expertise and Knowledge Sharing: Provide technical guidance and support to sales teams. Identify technical risks and potential challenges within proposed solutions early in the sales process. Maintain deep, up-to-date knowledge of Convergints security products, solutions, and value propositions across vertical markets.
- Market Understanding: Use your technical knowledge to identify potential markets and customers and contribute to strategies that differentiate Convergint.
What Youll Bring to the Table (Skills & Experience) We seek a results-driven professional with a potent blend of technical design expertise and client-facing commercial skills.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Expertise in technical design for electronic and physical security systems, including CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, fire prevention, life safety, and building automation equipment.
- In-depth knowledge of security standards.
- Solid understanding of electronic security system principles and practices. Knowledge of enterprise electronic security systems is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Convergints product offerings.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Commercial & Client Skills:
- Strong commercial acumen with a proven ability to identify and translate technical needs into sales opportunities.
- Exceptional customer focus and ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels and deliver impactful technical presentations. Ability to influence others.
- Strong negotiation skills, particularly in defining technical scope and requirements.
