They are currently lookingfor an experienced Accounting Manager to lead a dynamic, multi-sitefinance team and ensure robust financial stewardship. You will leadand oversee the full accounting operations across four legalentities. Reporting to the CFO, you will manage a team of nine andensure the financial processes are compliant, efficient, andaligned with the organization''s strategic goals. You will be basedin Brussels or/and Ghent. Accounting Manager FunctieomschrijvingStrategic & Operational Leadership - Translate departmentalgoals into actionable team objectives. - Develop the annualaccounting plan and budget; monitor progress and KPIs. - Stayupdated on financial and accounting regulations; ensure timelyimplementation. - Lead or support the roll-out of new systems andprocess improvements. Accounting Oversight - Oversee generalaccounting for all the legal entities. - Ensure accuracy and legalcompliance in all accounting, tax, and payroll processes. - Leadquarterly and year-end closings; prepare audit files and liaisewith external auditors. - Evaluate and improve accountingprocedures; maintain documentation. - Collaborate withinternational partners and internal stakeholders on accountingmatters. Team Management (People Leadership - 70% of the role) -Manage and coordinate two teams across Brussels and Ghent. -Allocate tasks and plan workloads based on team skills andorganizational needs. - Facilitate team meetings and foster teamcohesion across locations. - Serve as the main point of contact forinternal collaboration and communication. - Provide ongoingcoaching, feedback, and development opportunities for team members.- Promote a constructive, respectful, and inclusive workingenvironment. Profiel - Master''s degree or equivalent experience infinance, accounting, or business. - Minimum 8-10 years ofexperience in accounting management, preferably in complexenvironments. - Proven people management experience, includingleading cross-site teams. - Solid knowledge of Belgian GAAP andgeneral accounting principles. - Strong problem-solving skills;able to work in fast-paced, mission-driven settings. - Fluent inDutch and French (both mandatory for the position); English is aplus. - Experience in the NGO, non-profit, or public sector ishighly valued. - Aligned with the organization''s core values ofequity, solidarity, and sustainability. - Open to candidates withdiverse backgrounds and leadership styles - inclusive mindset isessential.
