OHB Italia is seeking for its Satellite and Missions Department in Rome or Milano aSenior Satellite System Engineer (M/F) Ref. SenSatSys_2025OHB is recruiting a Senior Satellite Systems Engineer with 10+ years of hands-on working experience.You will join a team of system engineers, bringing your experience in leading and driving satellite activities along the entire project lifecycle, including design, development, integration, verification, launch, and in-orbit operations.You could be involved in early phases (0-B1) or consolidation and delivery phases (B2-E), for both new developments and recurring projects based on OHB Italia''s product line. Typical applications are in Earth observation for commercial and institutional customers.As a Senior Satellite Systems Engineer, you will propose disruptive approaches to optimize processes, reduce Total Cost of Ownership, and decrease satellite delivery times.The successful candidates knowledge of space systems, missions, optical and radar satellites, subsystems, and equipment will foster innovation within OHB Italias successful small satellite business.Tasks:Lead development and qualification of small satellitesDefine satellite requirements for optical and radar Earth-observation missionsPerform satellite functional analysis and design trade-offsManage satellite internal and external interfacesPlan activities in detailSupport satellite verification and AIT activitiesParticipate in launch campaignsInterface with agencies and private customersQualifications:Strong knowledge of satellite systems engineering, including requirements engineering, functional analysis, verification controlKnowledge of optical and/or radar payloads and missionsExperience with commercial and institutional customersExperience in various satellite engineering domains (e.g., electronics, structure, software)Experience in satellite verification and participation in AIT campaignsExcellent sense of responsibilityStructured, hands-on work approachHighly self-motivated and autonomous work capabilityExcellent problem-solving skillsGood interpersonal skillsCustomer-oriented mindsetUniversity degree (Master/PhD) or equivalent with relevant industry experienceAssets:Model-Based System EngineeringExperience with concurrent engineering tools (e.g., Confluence, Jira)#J-18808-Ljbffr
