The PSO Sales Manager will have responsibility of leading a team of professional services sales and solution architects to identify, develop and close VMware services opportunities in the assigned territory. In working with our select customers, the objective of the services organization is to drive adoption, successful implementation and value realization and overall increasing maturity of VMware customers through consulting engagements. Responsibilities Responsible for the successful achievement of the sales target for consulting services and education in the assigned territory Achieve targeted sales booking and SoW creation targets Develop PSO sales pipeline within assigned region Manage sales campaigns and initiatives to drive PSO adoption Hire, train, mentor resources and ensure resource pool is properly cared for, trained and assimilated into the organization Enable efficient and qualitative proposals for customers, by ensuring appropriate needs definition, analyzing customers environment and expectations Manage people: responsible for their development, growth, and bookings objective achievement Own the relationship with sales on the defined practice. The PSO Sales Manager will work closely together with Sales Mgt to follow-up on new opportunities, sell new projects and develop revenue Work closely with sales management to drive education and consulting service business to achieve quarterly quota Ensure the sales force is equipped with the PSO (consulting/education) proposition Negotiate rates, project costs, terms and conditions of work & contracts + other factors of a commercial nature in relation to PSO services delivery Works closely with Delivery team to ensure project staffing & project profitability requirements are met Requirements At least 5 years of services sales team management At least 5 years of responsibility maintaining P&L; over a services unit Experience in customer-facing positions as a professional services sales executive or consultant, preferably with a Technology or Big 5 consulting organization Experience in driving large / complex transformation services at enterprise accounts Proven success record on achieving services sales targets across enterprise accounts Excellent communications and interpersonal skills Fluency in English and Spanish or Italian is required B.S./B.A./M.S.degree or equivalent technical training Travel -50% may be required
