The Market and Consumer Insight Manager plays a key role within the global insight function, reporting to the Global Director of Market & Consumer Insight. This role partners cross-functionally with Animal and Pet marketing teams, commercial stakeholders, internal functions, and external research and intelligence providers. The goal: to uncover meaningful consumer and market insights that inform strategy, spark innovation, and drive business growth.
The ideal candidate will lead the design and execution of both market analyses and customer research initiatives. By translating data into intuitive, inspiring, and actionable insights, the Manager helps enable customer-driven innovation and generate tangible value across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with external research agencies to launch and manage studies with speed, quality, and professionalism.
- Lead end-to-end execution of primary and secondary research initiatives, aligning with business goals and using best-practice methodologies.
- Use a combination of traditional techniques and modern tools (e.g., social listening, AI-based analytics, Power BI) to uncover trends and insights from digital market channels.
- Synthesize findings into holistic, story-led communications and deliver clear, compelling recommendations to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with marketing and communication teams to ensure accuracy in customer-facing publications and materials.
- Apply advanced analytics expertise to extract actionable insights from complex datasets.
- Conduct market sizing, industry research, and competitor landscape analysis to support strategic planning.
- Display strong project and time management skills, effectively prioritizing and juggling multiple initiatives in an agile and deadline-driven environment.
- Act as a self-starter, comfortable working independently while also presenting confidently to leadership and customers.

Qualifications & Experience- Minimum 3 years of experience in market research, consumer or customer insights, or competitive intelligence. Experience must include working with diverse data sources.
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field such as Animal/Pet/Food Science, Sensory & Consumer Science, Market Research, Marketing, Business, or Statistics.
- Professional background in B2B or B2C industries. Preferred sectors include: animal & pet care, food & beverage, specialty ingredients, flavors & fragrances, FMCG, or research agencies.
- Proficiency with market intelligence tools, consumer research methods, and sensory science techniques.
