Job Description: HR AssistantServes as an HR Assistant performing a variety of human resources duties in support of multifunctional HR disciplines for a combined US and Local National workforce:Employee and Labor Relations: Includes pay, performance, and awards. Assists HR Specialists in resolving minor employee issues related to pay, performance, misconduct, and awards. Supports interviews to gather facts, considers solutions, and provides recommendations or referrals. Explains disciplinary procedures and grievance processes to management and employees.NAF Human Resources Development and Training: Advises on program policies, conducts surveys, participates in hiring fairs, manages event logistics, and may assist in delivering training sessions. Maintains calendars and filing systems.Position Management / Structuring and Classification: Assists in preparing position descriptions, reviews classification standards, and explains policies to employees and management. Ensures compliance with laws and policies.Position RequirementsMust obtain and maintain Secret security clearance eligibility.Must possess and maintain a valid state drivers license.Qualifications include one year of specialized experience or a bachelors degree with related coursework, or a combination of education and experience.Knowledge of the NAF program, personnel procedures, and classification principles.Strong communication skills, with bilingual skills in Italian preferred but not required.Ability to handle administrative functions efficiently and maintain proper filing systems.Additional InformationCOVID-19 vaccination requirements are currently not enforced due to ongoing legal proceedings.
