In this role you are part of the team dedicated to the engineering and construction phases of onshore wind projects, starting from the notice to proceed until the project is handed over to the operational team. You report to the Head of Construction. Your main responsibilities go as follows:
Site Preparation/Engineering
- You prepare the site layouts on AutoCAD.
- You estimate the quantities of soil movement through AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Together with the Head of Construction, you evaluate the project timeline.
- You organize the preparatory studies: geotechnical surveys, land surveys, foundation design,
- Overall, you coordinate and supervise the engineering & procurement phase of the projects, based on the Project Execution Plan.
Construction/Execution
- You steer and supervise on-site the contractors and other external partners during the construction phase of the projects.
- You make sure the execution of the works meets the quality standards within the agreed timeframe and budget.
- You liaise with the Operations Manager for the start of the service/maintenance contract.
Your profile
- You hold an academic degree in civil or (electro)mechanical engineering.
- You have several years of experience coordinating construction projects, both in site preparation and the execution phase.
- Experience in (renewable) energy projects is a plus. Profiles with a background on other types of construction projects are eligible as well: public infrastructure, industry, tertiary/residential buildings...
- You are familiar with software like AutoCAD, MS Office and MS Project. Knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D is an asset.
- You have strong communication skills, enabling effective discussion and transfer of information between team members, contractors and other partners.
- You are a self-starting professional, who likes to take responsibility and ownership of projects from start till end.
- You are to travel during the construction phase of your projects: on average 1 to 3 days a week on-site.
- You are fluent in Dutch, professionally proficient in English and have a fair level in French.
