Job DescriptionLocation: Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece, Poland, hybrid or fully remoteJob Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Architect to join the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) Regional Team. The Data Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization''s data architecture, including data models, databases, data integration, and data security. The role involves collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, data analysts, and IT teams to ensure the architecture meets business and technical requirements.Responsibilities:Design and develop data models, database schemas, and data integration solutions.Collaborate with stakeholders and data analysts to understand data requirements and design architecture accordingly.Develop and maintain data architecture standards, policies, and procedures.Implement data security and privacy measures, including access controls and encryption.Optimize database performance and scalability.Develop and maintain data migration and integration processes.Create and manage data dictionaries, data lineage, and quality rules.Stay updated on data architecture trends and recommend improvements.Coordinate with IT teams to align data architecture with organizational strategy.Requirements:Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.At least 5 years of experience in data architecture.Strong knowledge of data modeling, database design, and integration.Proficiency in SQL and database management.Experience with Object-Oriented Programming in Python or Java.Knowledge of REST API interfaces.Experience with data governance and data lineage.Experience implementing data security and privacy controls.Experience with data migration and integration.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively.Knowledge of data warehousing concepts.Understanding of healthcare industry data standards and models.Beneficial:Experience in the medical domain.Experience with Ontology Crosswalks.#LI-MONICABOBOCEA#LI-REMOTEIQVIA is a leading global provider of analytics, technology solutions, and clinical research services to the life sciences industry.
