About the Role:
As the General Director of Think Ahead Education, you will hold the highest level of leadership within the company, driving the comprehensive management and strategic growth of our brands. You will work together with the Governing Body, crafting and executing strategic plans that align with our vision and long-term objectives. The role entails direct leadership over the two brands Think Ahead Academy and IB Wave, along with close collaboration with the headteacher of Virtus College to drive the objectives of that brand.
The brands are managed by a central team that cover all the main departments in an educational company - Marketing, Human Resources, Sales, Administration, Coordination, Finance, and Educational departments. As Director, you will directly manage the central team, overseeing all operations. The role is therefore heavily focused on the daily running of the business. However, you will also be expected to consolidate and expand the lines of growth established for the business, as well as new opportunities that arise in the future.
Responsibilities:
Leadership of the company:
- Preserve and enhance the companys ethos and values, fostering a culture of trust, respect, support, and friendliness.
- Maintain and strengthen the companys public image while advancing its mission as a leader in educational innovation.
- Collaborate with the governance team to develop and implement strategic plans, ensuring regular communication and follow-up.
- Supervise and support all departments, fostering accountability, effective delegation, and adherence to high educational standards.
- Ensure that the company complies with all relevant legislation and inspection requirements and maintains a healthy and safe environment for all pupils, staff and visitors.
Daily management of the company:
- Lead the Sales and Marketing teams, designing and coordinating annual campaigns and projects related to sales, client relations, and B2B growth.
- Oversee financial operations including billing, payroll, budget management, and reporting.
- Collaborate with the Admin team to maintain accurate and efficient data systems.
- Lead IT operations by integrating modern tools to optimise workflows and ensure smooth internal processes.
- Oversee recruitment in collaboration with HR, aligning hiring with strategic needs and actively participating in interviews.
- Manage the Coordination team to ensure effective service delivery and consistent communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Supervise the Educational department, focusing on teacher onboarding, performance, and retention. Promote best teaching practices through regular training sessions, lesson observations, and structured performance reviews.
