ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for a talented and competitive Strategic Account Director that thrives in a complex sales cycle environment. The Strategic Account Director role is to manage a pipeline of assigned customers, focusing on renewals while also actively seeking new sales opportunities for expansion within renewals. A successful candidate has a proven track record of sales success and customer relationship building, and demonstrates strong listening, negotiating, and presentation abilities.
- Responsible for successfully managing renewals in specified account territory.
- Develop new business and trusted relationships within key accounts and identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas.
- Close sales; Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas.
- Serve as the lead point-of-contact for leads within assigned account territory.
- Source new sales opportunities through client outreach.
- Maintain and expand database of clients within assigned territory.
- Accurately forecast monthly sales pipeline and track key performance metrics.
- Collaborate with account team members to identify and grow opportunities within assigned territory.
- Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as necessary.
- Conduct monthly or quarterly webinars for key accounts.
- Travel for industry specific tradeshows/conferences, in-person presentations and sales meetings, (frequency depends on assigned accounts).
Requirements
We are looking for the right balance of skills, experience and passion. Ideal candidates will capture the following:
- Bachelors degree recommended.
- 5+ years selling in the enterprise firms preferred.
- Familiarity with databases and sales software (Salesforce.com preferred).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools.
- Team player, highly self-motivated and proactive (demonstrate the determination, know-how, and accountability for achieving results).
- Must be able to communicate, present, and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
- Must be able to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
