For our client, a well-established Legal, Risk & Compliance advisory boutique, we are looking for a seasoned Risk professional to join their team of experts for a client base of independent wealth management companies, trustees, and asset management companies in Switzerland. Our client acts as an outsourcing service provider for risk management and compliance functions.
Your mission and contribution
As part of their growth, they are looking for a Senior Risk Manager, acting as a subject matter expert within their outsourced Risk department. Together with a team of experienced risk consultants, you will ensure the delivery of risk mandates with FINMA-licensed financial institutions.
You will drive the regulatory watch regarding risk frameworks to be implemented for both LPCC/CISA and LEFIN/FinIA licenses. You will help ensure their implementation and that risk controls are in place for all of their investment and advisory activities.
As an expert, you will be the point of reference for clients on any risk-related questions, providing consultancy and external training for their employees.
You will collaborate closely with the Compliance department on projects and work with top management to anticipate future client needs to ensure regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a risk position within a regulated financial institution in Switzerland or in an audit/consulting firm in a BFS team.
- Experience in consulting is a major plus.
- Experience within an asset management company is a plus.
- Ability to work on multiple missions with different clients.
- Successful experience in building and managing high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex matters for a large audience.
- Pragmatism and business acumen.
- Strong client service orientation.
- Good coordination skills and responsiveness with stakeholders internally and externally.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to implement efficient risk frameworks.
- Ability to prioritize and work on both urgent and long-term projects.
- Good knowledge of financial markets and products.
- Proficiency with different PMS systems used for risk controls.
- Fluent in French and English.
