Labour Relations Expert
YOUR IMPACT
This role is pivotal for the organization. You will act as the single point of contact for Europe, making sure corporate initiatives are socialized with work councils (not only in Germany and the Netherlands but also in France, Spain, and Italy). To do so, you will need to drive the entire intake process by partnering with business leaders, Data Privacy, HRBPs and work council members.
The main corporate initiatives that will need to be reviewed by work councils will be:
- Innovation projects (tools, new technologies),
- surveys, trainings
WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS
- Educate business leaders and their teams about Labour Relations, providing training and enablement sessions.
- Lead and drive discussions with Work Councils for Innovation projects including negotiations of works agreements (mainly in Germany and the Netherlands)
- Provide regular Work Council status updates to Business Leaders and HR Leaders including VP HR, Functional HRBPs, etc.
- Partner closely with the HRBP community in Europe, develop synergies, ensure clarity of roles and responsibilities, and create effective communications for updates, etc.
- Ensure strong collaboration with the Data Privacy team to ensure GDPR compliance
- Work closely with the Labour Relations Director on other strategic corporate initiatives that will need to be implemented in Europe, such as L&D initiatives and organizational Effectiveness programs.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- A successfully completed relevant bachelors degree (i.e. Law, HR, etc.), or relevant working experience in combination with at least 8 years of HR experience with a strong focus on Labour Relations.
- Strong experience in managing Work Councils in one of these countries: Germany or Netherlands in combination with strong experience in negotiating work agreements
- Strong business acumen and experience in a large global organization.
- Good knowledge of GDPR and strong project management skills
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills as well as the ability to handle difficult situations and mediate conflicts effectively
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Proven ability to analyze complex situations and recommend optimal solutions
- Fluency in English and Dutch is mandatory, and good knowledge of the German language would be beneficial.
