Were looking for a talented and motivated scientist with a PhD to join our dynamic RD team and lead innovative research projects at the intersection of medical imaging, statistical modelling, and clinical application.This is a unique opportunity to work on real-world challenges alongside academic institutions, pharmaceutical companies, and medical device manufacturers. Your contributions will have a direct impact on patient care and future innovations in osteoporosis and bone health.Your MissionLead and contribute to the development of 3D bone modelling methods from X-ray, DXA, and CT imaging data using statistical modelling and image registration.Validate and assess the accuracy and reproducibility of new methods using clinical datasets.Work closely with our software development team to integrate your algorithms into the 3D-Shaper product suite.Design and execute clinical studies using 3D-Shaper, including statistical analysis and interpretation of results.Disseminate your research through peer-reviewed publications and international conferences.Manage collaborative projects, including coordination with academic and industrial partners, organizing meetings, and preparing reports and deliverables.What Were Looking ForRequired Qualifications:PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related fieldSolid background in medical image analysis, especially in statistical shape modelling or image registrationStrong foundation in applied statistics, including experience with statistical analysis of clinical data, data interpretation, and reportingProven research experience with at least 3 peer-reviewed publicationsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication, organizational, and project management abilitiesAbility to work independently and in cross-functional teamsFluent English (professional working proficiency) Preferred Skills:Experience in musculoskeletal imagingExperience in computational biomechanicsInvolvement in pharma-sponsored or multicentre clinical studiesFamiliarity with public research funding (e.G., EU Horizon Europe, Spanish national calls)Proficiency in Spanish and/or French is a plusWhy Join 3D-Shaper Medical?Meaningful work with direct clinical impactA young, international, and multidisciplinary team based in BarcelonaFlexible work arrangements (hybrid or remote options)Opportunities to publish, present, and grow your scientific profileCollaborations with leading academic and industry partners across Europe and beyondA company culture that values innovation, autonomy, and continuous learningIf you're excited about applying your scientific expertise to shape the future of medical imaging and bone health, wed love to hear from you.Lets make an impact together.
