NYC Department of Finance (DOF) is responsible for administering the tax revenue laws of the city fairly, efficiently, and transparently to instill public confidence and encourage compliance while providing exceptional customer service.The Administration and Planning Division is responsible for the management and oversight of administrative and operational services for the agency. This includes the daily management of Employee Services, Financial Management, the Agency Contract Office and Operational Services.The Operational Services Division/Facilities Management - Site Management and Development has launched a new Facility Management software called OfficeSpace. This software will enable us to track work orders and process employee moves with more efficiency. The selected candidate will primarily assist the unit in tracking, maintaining and, updating all staff and resource information and requests within the OfficeSpace system.The selected candidate will have a variety of responsibilities which will include but not limited to the following:- Answer inquiries from DOF staff providing accurate information in a courteous manner.- Ensure that all information regarding new hires, employee relocations, and separations are updated into the OfficeSpace system.- Work with Planning & Design to ensure that all renovations are uploaded into the OfficeSpace system.- General Administrative duties: Perform data entry, answer telephones, maintain files and retrieve documents and reference materials.- Assist with Special Projects.- Produce reports using various MS applications.Minimum Qual RequirementsAs of June of the Program year the prospective interne must be a student matriculated in a college or be a recent college graduate (winter/spring term of the Program year).**NOTE**: Appointment to this title is only valid for the duration of the Program, June - August each year.Preferred SkillsStrong interpersonal skills are required.- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and OutlookAdditional InformationIn compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.To ApplyClick the "Apply Now" button.While we appreciate every applicant''s interest, only those under consideration will be contacted.Hours/ShiftUnless otherwise indicated, all positions require a five-day workweek.Work Location345 Adams St., Brooklyn, N.Y.(Current location but could be subject to change)Residency RequirementNew York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment.
