The Lagrange Mathematics and Computing Research Center is the mathematics research department of Huawei, dedicated to advancing the cutting-edge exploration and practical application of mathematics and computing. We recognize the crucial role of mathematics in technological innovation, gathering world-class mathematicians, including Fields Medalists and Nobel Prize winners, to guide our research. We collaborate with top universities worldwide to explore new theoretical boundaries in mathematics. The Lagrange team transforms mathematical theories into practical solutions, working closely with business departments to address real-world problems and drive business innovation.
Responsibilities
- Understand the cutting-edge research findings in high-dimensional probability and statistics theory, optimal transport theory, Bayesian posterior sampling theory, and geometric deep learning, and identify feasible applications for these theories.
- Gain insights into the business issues faced by Huawei''s business departments, model these business challenges mathematically, and provide solutions.
- Develop, improve, and implement various AI algorithms based on the characteristics of Huawei''s hardware, optimize AI algorithm scheduling and compilation, and enhance AI operator performance.
- Code programming and documentation writing.
Qualifications
- PhD degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, AI, or related fields.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and C++, as well as deep learning frameworks like PyTorch.
- Experience in independently completing research projects.
- Publications as the first author in top conferences or journals.
