Job Summary:

NIO is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Amsterdam. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and supporting audit-related matters of our EU subsidiaries. Additionally, you will be analyzing financial reports, conducting variance analyses, and supporting the budgeting and re-forecasting process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with US GAAP accounting standards.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and regulatory filings.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in audit processes.
• Partner with accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Prepare comprehensive P&L reports by analyzing and reporting actual revenues, costs, and expenses.
• Conduct budget vs. actual variance analysis to track financial performance.
• Support monthly re-forecasting and the annual budgeting process.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, CMA, or CFA certification is a plus.
• 3-6 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Advanced proficiency with SAP
• Knowledge of US GAAP Accounting Standards; IFRS is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment and adapt to changing priorities.
