We are looking for a Material Controller for the Porthos project , where Bonatti will be in charge of building the CO2 compressor station on an EPC basis.
The resource will be responsible for managing and coordinating all activities related to the receiving, checking, cataloguing, storing, preserving, and delivering materials to the construction team for the project.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating material-related activities both in the office and on-site, ensuring that all corporate and project procedures are correctly implemented, and that materials are delivered on time and within the approved budget.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and update the Material Management System (MMS - CLA/Cadmatic COSMO 5) in collaboration with the Engineering and Procurement departments.
- Verify supplier documentation (packing lists, certificates, etc.) for accuracy and compliance with purchase orders.
- Coordinate with HSE to manage work permits and waste management procedures.
- Ensure materials are properly stored and segregate non-conforming items.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices and ensure that all warehouse and external areas are kept clean and organized.
- Collaborate with QC to support inspections and ensure materials meet quality standards.
- Keep the project teams updated on any material-related issues or delays.
- Communicate effectively with Material Coordinators, construction teams, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery and material availability.
Requirements:
- Previous experience of at least 3-4 years in the role, with the ability to independently manage the full life cycle of an EPC project.
- Solid knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of material management.
- Experience using material management software and reporting tools such as Excel or equivalent software.
- Excellent knowledge of the English language.
