The unit is responsible for the design, development, and qualification/certification activities related to the Display Systems (Cockpit Display Systems, Helmet Mounted Display, Control Display Unit) of Leonardo Helicopters programs (both civil and military), specifically for the SubSystems with internal development of the software application in charge of the Human Machine Interface.Sub-System Engineers interface with the Avionics System Engineer''s functional areas for all aspects pertaining to the integration of the display system and its application in the helicopter avionic system. They collaborate with the Avionics System Engineer and HMI Simulation area for defining Leonardo Helicopter HMI. External interfaces include Program Management, CPE offices, Flight Test Pilots and Engineers, Procurement, and RMS departments.Activities and responsibilities include:Understanding clients needs and expected outcomesCollaborating with the development team to identify design solutions aligned with expectations and project guidelines (plans, standards, technical and schedule constraints, budget)Supporting the avionics system architecture definition and integrationContributing to Leonardo HMI definitionDeveloping and qualifying the software application through all phases (requirements, architecture, detailed design, coding, integration, validation, verification, reviews, and certifications)Managing suppliers for activities'' offload and display platform procurementLeading the software development teamMonitoring and managing project schedule, costs, and resourcesYou are the ideal candidate if you have:A degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Telecommunications, Automation, Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering)Good command of English (spoken and written)Ability to work in cross-functional teamsProactive problem-solving skillsCreativityNICE TO HAVEKnowledge of LHD helicopter configuration is a plus.The selection will follow after reading the information notice according to Art. 13 EU Reg. 679/2016.
