Job Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of Upstream processes in manufacturing suites, including scheduling and shift rotations.
- Lead and develop the Manufacturing Team to ensure robust and efficient operations, with appropriate succession planning.
- Participate in defining process parameters during routine manufacturing campaigns.
- Build cross-functional teams and collaborate with departments such as Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Manufacturing Science and Technology, Engineering, Validation, and other relevant areas.
- Work closely with PMO, Engineering, Quality, and Business Technology to support the design, procurement, and commissioning of production equipment and automation systems, ensuring compliance with process requirements.
- Participate in Technology Transfer and operational readiness activities for new production processes and lines.
- Support CVQ, PQ, and Process Validation execution.
Quality
- Ensure implementation and adherence to current GMP regulations, Quality policies, procedures, and instructions within their area.
- Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives, deviation reporting, and follow-up.
EHSS
- Ensure compliance with EHSS legal requirements, rules, policies, procedures, and instructions.
- Contribute to EHSS initiatives, issue resolution, and near miss reporting.
Leadership

Position Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor''s or Master''s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or Food Science.
- Language: English required; German is essential.
Experience & Competencies
- Minimum of 10 years of successful experience in pharmaceutical operations within a GMP environment.
- Experience in biotech or pharma processes such as sterile processes, USP, DSP, solution preparation, single-use systems, CIP/SIP processes.
- Proficiency in automated processes.
- Leadership experience in team management.
Additional Requirements
- Occasional weekend work based on production needs.
- On-call support availability.
