Dark Light is a specialized data consultancy with a strong focus on project staffing in the fields of data and business intelligence. For one of our valued clients, we are currently looking for a full-time (payroll) Data Engineer to join their team.

We''re Hiring: Data Engineer

Location: Remote or On-Site | Full-Time (Payroll)

Are you ready to build something from the ground up? As additional Data Engineer for our client, youll own the end-to-end data pipelinefrom ingestion and modeling to visualization. Youll work closely with internal stakeholders and diverse customers, playing a key role in shaping scalable data infrastructure and standards.

This is a unique opportunity to grow into a Data Architect role over time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL, DBT, and Fivetran
• Develop and optimize data models in Postgres, Snowflake, or similar platforms
• Apply advanced warehousing concepts like star/snowflake schemas, partitioning, indexing
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams
• Support business intelligence efforts through PowerBI dashboards and similar tools
• Mentor junior engineers and help drive technology evolution

Were Looking For:

• Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with DBT
• Proficiency in platforms like Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift
• Familiarity with ETL tools such as Fivetran, Stitch, or custom scripts
• Deep understanding of dimensional modeling, partitioning, and indexing

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience with PowerBI, Tableau, or Looker
• Backend development skills (Python, Go, Java) and API integration
• Cloud expertise with AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Customer-oriented mindset and clear communication skills
