Thermo Fisher Scientific The Lengnau site is part of the Drug Substance Division, a dynamic and fast-growing CDMO (Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization). Our mission is to deliver high-quality solutions to clients and patients. The site is expanding engineering and automation support for GMP clean utility systems.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Lengnau, Switzerland.
Position Purpose
The Senior Automation Engineer ensures clean utility automation systems operate efficiently, safely, and meet GMP standards. These systems include Water for Injection (WFI), Purified Water (PW), Clean Steam, and process gases.
The role supports daily operations, solves technical issues, and monitors performance. It includes work on investigations, change controls, CAPAs, and documentation. Collaboration with QA, Facilities, and Engineering is key. The position may also support minor system improvement projects.

Follow GMP policies and procedures at all times. Help improve quality by taking part in investigations and reviews.
EHSS
Follow safety procedures and support a safe work environment. Report near misses and take part in safety initiatives.

Position Qualifications
Education
Bachelors degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related fieldor equivalent experience.
