Senior Cloud Engineer Kubernetes Applications Areyou curious and ready to accept a new challenge in your career? Among theEuropean leaders in Wealth Management solutions, Prometeia islooking for an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to lead thedevelopment, deployment, and management of Kubernetes-basedapplications. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Lead thecontainerization of applications using Docker and define bestpractices for container management. - Develop and maintain Helmcharts and YAML configurations for deploying complex Kubernetesresources. - Define and maintain a reference architecture forKubernetes applications, ensuring scalability, security, andoperational excellence. - Develop monitoring and alertingstrategies using tools like Prometheus and Grafana to ensureoptimal system performance. - Collaborate with development andoperation teams to implement best practices in containerorchestration and cloud infrastructure. - Troubleshoot and resolvecomplex issues related to Kubernetes workloads, networking, andinfrastructure. - Stay ahead of emerging trends in cloud-nativetechnologies and support their adoption within the team. Mentorjunior colleagues and contribute to building a strong,collaborative engineering culture. - Interact with the operationsteam to: o Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning andmanagement using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such asTerraform. o Architect, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines forseamless Kubernetes application delivery. o Design, deploy, andmanage robust Kubernetes clusters in production and stagingenvironments. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors or Mastersdegree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, orequivalent practical experience. - 3+ years of experience in cloudengineering or DevOps roles, with significant hands-on exposure toKubernetes and containerization. - In-depth understanding of ofKubernetes, Docker, and containerization concepts. - Proficiencywith at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GoogleCloud) and/or Red Hat OpenShift. - Solid understanding ofnetworking concepts in cloud and Kubernetes contexts, includingservice meshes and ingress controllers. - Strong scripting andautomation skills using Bash and Python. - Proven ability to designand implement scalable and secure cloud architectures. Preferred: -Advanced knowledge of Azure Cloud and Azure DevOpstools. - Hands-onexperience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.- Expertise in monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, andELK/EFK stacks. - Experience implementing security best practicesfor Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications. -Familiarity with service mesh technologies such as Istio orLinkerd. - Experience developing Python applications in aproduction environment.
