As an acumen of Food Safety/Quality Systems the Sr. Mgr of QA elicits continuous improvement through best practices, coaching, and concise decision-making skills. Fosters a culture of food safety, quality and Product Excellence across two manufacturing facilities.Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following: Be a Steward who supports and protects the Mission and Culture of Harvest Hill Beverage and ABC Exemplifies Transformative Leadership in the Operation as a major contributor in collaboration and support Infuse Purpose, Clarity, Energy, and Opportunity to your department and extended Workforce Promote and Support Training and Growth of personnel, inclusive of direct training Create a platform of Huddles and internal audit reviews that are efficient, informative, with succinct follow up Support relative topics with sensible Metrics, issue detailed Reports to direct manager and operations as requiredDEPARTMENTAL AND POSITIONAL RESPONSIBILITES: Lead the Food Safety Program, own and direct FSQA at the sites (FSMA, SQF, FDA, Dept of Ag). Provide strategic leadership to the organization, champion a quality culture, share best practices with QA network Provide mentorship to the quality team focus on growth, development and succession plans. Responsible for overall adherence to applicable Food regulations as the primary liaison for the two sites. Responsible to continuously develop and monitor KPIs and quality scorecards (DMS) Supplier compliance, working close with Supply chain and vendors Environmental program(s) ensuring they meet FSMA and customer requirements Responsible for the effective implementation and adherence to the Recall and Traceability Program. Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA) process is effective, and the proper tools are used to ensure a true RCA. Compliance to validation, and verification activities. Manages customer complaints and trends reports to management on a weekly basis finding as part of KPIs. Manage and perform internal audit program, with effective CAPA plans implemented. Lead and continuously improve all food defense plans, allergen management program and food fraud program. Oversee, audits Employee Training Matrix for compliance, completeness, and accuracy. Oversee all water and air supply documentation are up to date and work closely with the maintenance department . Oversee the Pest Control program to ensure compliance, monitoring and preventive/corrective actions. Manage QA budgets, projections, accruals and variances for both facilities, (capital ,expenditure requests and AP). Oversee compliance of receiving, storage and handling and shipping practices.o Ensure programs used to report quality data are capable of the collection; manage and report quality data. SPC charting (RedZone)o Product specificationso Forms uploaded into the system, daily operational checks, line checks, qualitative checks and all quality related forms such as Monthly Glass & Plastic inspections, GMP checks, Temperature checks, etc.o Ensure compliance to weekly conformance spec conformance per line.o Verify and monitor site Master Sanitation Program activitieso ATP Testing/ Environmental Testingo Reviews all wet, dry, and allergen cleaning practices ensuring compliance to procedure and program Integral in reviewing compliance to the Triangle K Kosher program.ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Provide support to Senior Management Backup to Supervisors Perform approved non-management job functions in the event of an emergencyWORK INSTRUCTIONS TO POSITION: Critical to meet Customer specifications and maintenance of food, safety, quality and process efficiency can be found in the SQF manual located in the Quality Department.WORK SAFETY: Ensures that all tasks and functions of position are performed in a safe
