Your primary role will be to drive the accurate implementation of new Homeowners rate plans by leading the review, development, and filing processes. The Assistant Actuary opportunity is located in our Boston, MA location.**Responsibilities**:Conduct reviews of rates, rules, and product offerings in states where Homesite writes business, making recommendations to management based on these reviewsWork with Analytics, Underwriting, IT and Legal to implement new rate structures and products.Use technical skills with knowledge of spreadsheets, databases, and modeling to support the development of solutions to various business problems and challenges.Complete in-depth analyses of components of rate indications and provide recommendations for selectionsDevelop, enhance, maintain, and test control procedures within the department.Complete state rate and rule filings while gaining an understanding of regulatory and/or business issues specific to each stateProvide information to Departments of Insurance upon request to support rate filings.As appropriate, present results and proposals to senior managementLead and develop a team of pricing and product analysts**Requirements**:**Relevant Experience**: 6 to 10 years of actuarial experience in the Property and Casualty field**Professional Credentials**: ACAS required, FCAS preferred**Educational Credentials**: Bachelor''s degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Economics, Science or Engineering**Analytic Assessment**: Evaluate state performance, identify additional areas of research, and recommend improvements with creative ideasPowerful Communication skillsAbility to prioritize rapidly shifting assignments effectively**Management Experience**: 2+ years directly supervising multiple analysts- **Software and Data Management Experience**: SAS and/or SQL knowledge preferred, intermediate to advanced skills in Excel required
