Join to apply for the Procurement Analyst role at Gowan Company.Get AI-powered advice on this job and more exclusive features.Responsibilities:Conduct market analysis on industry trends, competitor activities, and supplier capabilities related to crop protection active ingredients globally.Assess global data sources for crop protection chemicals, intermediates, and raw materials from various sources.Develop and maintain market intelligence reports, dashboards, and a historical price database.Evaluate suppliers based on market intelligence and internal metrics to support procurement strategies.Analyze cost structures for critical AIs to enable cost optimization.Monitor market developments of competing molecules and generic entrants to provide strategic warnings.Collaborate with procurement teams and stakeholders to align data with business objectives.Establish a trusted network within the agrochemical and chemical sectors.Coordinate with other Gowan teams related to procurement objectives.Education:Bachelors degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.Certifications in procurement or market intelligence are preferred.Training in statistical analysis methods is a plus.Experience / Skills / Abilities:Strong analytical skills, including statistical analysis.Critical thinking and strategic evaluation skills.Research and synthesis skills from various sources.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Solid understanding of the crop protection industry, especially active ingredient procurement.Substantial procurement or market research experience, including import/export analysis.Experience in market research within China and/or India is required.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Power BI, SharePoint, Teams.Ability to develop interactive dashboards and reports.Fluency in English; Mandarin is desirable.Minimum of five years experience in procurement analysis.Working Conditions:Effective communication with internal stakeholders.Attention to detail, sense of urgency, teamwork.Adaptability to changing environments.Willingness to travel for meetings and industry events.Work in the office five days a week is required.Additional Details:Seniority level: Mid-Senior level.Employment type: Full-time.Job function: Purchasing and Supply Chain.Industry: Chemical Manufacturing.#J-18808-Ljbffr
